OFTEC 10-101, 10-105E & 10-600A Training and Assessment Course

Location(s): Worcester, Wakefield
Duration: 4 days
Cost: £675 per person

Introduction

We offer specialist OFTEC Training and Assessment programmes, which include UKAS accredited certification by LCL Awards, at our Training Academies.

A requirement of the Building Regulations 2001 - Part L (England and Wales) is that every boiler installation must be registered with the local authority and a certificate issued.

In the case of oil boiler installations, an installer who holds the appropriate OFTEC registration is deemed to be a "competent person" and is therefore able to carry out the self-certification process.

Entry requirement

You must hold or have held an OFTEC 10-101 or Gas Safe qualification. Your Gas Safe card/number will be checked upon arrival at the Academy.

For those with limited or no experience in the oil industry, we recommend our 1 day oil appreciation course as an ideal method of gaining some Pre-OFTEC knowledge.

Includes the following modules/assessments

  • OFTEC OFT 10 101 - Single Stage Pressure Jet Servicing and Commissioning
  • OFTEC OFT 10 105E - Installation of oil and bio-liquid fuelled fixed combustion appliances and systems
  • OFTEC OFT 10 600A - Installation of oil fuel storage and supply systems connected to fixed combustion appliances.

Please note required on the day:

You are required to provide your National Insurance Number and photographic proof of identification (passport or driving license), plus any relevant industry qualification certificates e.g. Gas Safe (Your Gas Safe card/number will be checked upon arrival at the Academy), OFTEC or NVQ. Please note the certificate must be from the Certification Body who carried out your original assessment, this could be NICEIC, LCL Awards, BPEC, Blue Flame, City & Guilds, UK Certification etc.

Without the above documents you will not be able to take the assessment.

If you have any queries regarding the certification requirements please email training@uk.bosch.com or contact training on 0330 1230166.

If you hold an OFT 10- 101, training is not mandatory nor a pre requisite to the assessment. However most candidates find that they benefit from undertaking refresher training prior to assessment.

*If you need to cancel or rearrange a booking we require notice of 10 working days prior to the course start date so that the place can be reallocated. If the required notice is not received within this timescale any monies paid will be forfeited.
