Worcester announces new gas safety course for housing sector

  • Two new gas safety courses available
  • Aimed at non-technical personnel
  • Covers key issues for those working within the housing sector

We recently announced we’ll now be offering two new Qualified and Credited Framework Gas Safety Awareness courses, aimed at non-technical personnel working within the housing sector.

With two specific programmes to choose from, the new QCF Level 2 Gas Safety Awareness course has been designed to give a helping hand to anybody responsible for communicating with residential clients, landlords and agents about gas safety – whether for private companies or within the social housing sector.

The latest one day module offered at our Worcester, Wakefield and West Thurrock training facilities, covers the key issues a housing sector professional needs to know about gas safety. These include the varying types of gas in residential properties, how to minimise risks of combustion, flue and ventilation problems, the dangers of carbon monoxide and how to identify a gas leak.

Also outlined in the course are the requirements landlords and agents must adhere to under gas safety guidelines, such as mandatory inspections and correct documentation, proving the training to be equally as valuable for those in an advisory role as for those in the field.

By the end of the programme participants, who are assessed through a series of multiple choice and short written-answer questions, will leave loaded with knowledge and feel confident in understanding the main aspects of gas safety to help when answering heating and gas related queries from residents and tenants.
