For International Women's Day, we were lucky to get the chance to speak with Liza, a gas engineer and owner of Priory Heating in Swindon. According to EngineeringUK the percentage of women working in engineering and technology occupations dropped from 16.5% in 2022 to 15.7% in 2023, representing a fall of 38,000 women.^* In 2013 Liza decided to take the leap and set up her own heating business, and she has hired other female gas engineers along the way. When speaking with Liza, she offered some advice to women who are looking at similar career paths. Here's what she had to say:​
