Environment 2050 Installation Competition – One Off Installations (the “Competition”) - Terms and Conditions
1. By entering the Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (the “Terms”).
2. The promoter is Bosch Thermotechnology Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales with company number 01993294, whose registered office address is Cotswold Way, Warndon, Worcester, WR4 9SW, United Kingdom (“Promoter”).
3. The Competition will commence on 1 March 2022 at 00:00 (GMT) and end on 28 February 2023 at 23:59 (“Closing Date”).
4. In these terms: “Appliance” means any heating or hot water product manufactured by Bosch or Worcester Bosch and/or branded ‘Worcester Bosch’ or ‘Bosch’ and intended for domestic use in the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland. “Quarter” means the following four periods: 1 March 2022 – 31 May 2022; 1 June 2022 – 31 August 2022; 1 September 2022 – 30 November 2022; and 1 December 2022 – 28 February 2023.
5. The Competition is open to individuals who are installers of Appliances aged 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland, except for employees of the Promoter, or of any other company within the Bosch group of companies (including BSH Home Appliances Limited), and their immediate family members, Bosch’s agents or their employees, or any person professionally associated with this Competition (or members of their family or household) (“Eligible Participant”).
6. The Promoter assumes that by entering the Competition (and the Participant warrants that) the participant is aged 18 or over. Participants entering the Competition as an employee of an organisation must (i) inform their employer about the Competition, and (ii) obtain the permission of their employer to enter the Competition.
Entry:
7. An Eligible Participant will automatically be entered into the Competition if they: February 2022 a. install and register an Appliance with the Promoter before the Closing Date (details of how to register the Appliance can be found at https://www.worcester-bosch.co.uk/professional/support/guarantees); b. visit the Competition website at https://www.worcester-bosch.co.uk/environment-2050; and c. complete the entry form and submit in one of the Categories (as defined below) a case study of an Appliance installation they have completed in the six (6) month period prior to the end of the relevant Quarter in which the case study is submitted, including good quality digital photographs of the completed Appliance installation (showing the Appliance, and any installed pipework/infrastructure and or other works undertaken), and include a detailed description of not less than 500 words of the installation work undertaken and the date it was completed, and their business name and contact address, email and phone number (the “Entry”).
8. Entries may be submitted into one of the following four (4) categories: a. Domestic Heat Pumps; b. Domestic Boilers; c. Domestic Hybrid systems; and d. Domestic Solar thermal products; (together the “Categories”).
9. Eligible Participants may submit multiple Entries in multiple categories and in multiple Quarters. Entries received after the Closing Date will not be accepted.
10. Any Entry that does not comply with the requirements of these Terms and contain the information required above will be an invalid Entry and will not be entered into the Competition. The Promoter reserves the right and has complete discretion to disqualify any Entry deemed unsuitable, inappropriate, explicit or offensive, and accepts no responsibility for Entries not successfully or fully completed due to any reason including technical faults. The Promoter may reject any Entry if the accompanying photographs are not of sufficient quality / resolution and/or if the description of the installation is not sufficiently detailed. Entries may be assessed by the Promoter’s technical support team and the Appliance installation shown must be carried out by an appropriately qualified professional (eg Gas Safe/R.G.I.I registered for gas boilers) and the installation must comply with applicable laws and regulations (including but not limited to Gas Safe/R.G.I.I in the case of gas boilers, OFTEC in the case of oil boilers, and F Gas in the case of air conditioning products) and the manufacturer’s requirements.
11. Following the end of each Quarter, all valid and correct Entries in each Category submitted in that Quarter will be entered into a competition for a chance to win a prize. There will be one (1) prize winner from all qualifying Entries in each Category for each Quarter that will be chosen by a panel of judges (which shall include at least one independent judge) on behalf of the Promoter within one (1) month of the end of each Quarter (the “Winners”). The Winners will be chosen in the judges’ absolute discretion, and Entries will be judged on criteria including the quality of work shown and how it contributes towards a greener future of heating.
Prize:
12. In each Quarter, the prize for the Winner in each Category shall be: a. A donation of £200 (200EUR in the Republic of Ireland) to the Category Winner’s chosen registered charity; and b. One (1) Bosch GSB 18V-55 Professional Cordless Drill/Driver 06019H5370; and c. Support from the Promoter in preparing a case study and other media assets to promote the Category Winner’s business; and d. Use of a Worcester Bosch Environment 2050 logo to promote their winning Entry (“Prizes”). The right to use a Worcester Bosch logo to promote the winning Entry (as referred to in clause 12.d) shall entail the grant of a revocable non-exclusive royalty free licence to use such logo nominated by the Promoter. The Promoter may revoke such licence at any time if a Winner uses the logo in such a manner that harms or may harm the reputation or goodwill of the Promoter.
13. The Prizes will be awarded to one (1) individual Eligible Participant from each Category in each Quarter (ie in each Quarter, there will be four (4) Prizes awarded to four (4) Eligible Participants; and during the whole period of the Competition there will be sixteen (16) Prizes awarded to a maximum of sixteen (16) Eligible Participants). If there are no Entries in a Category in a particular Quarter, no Prizes will be awarded in that Category in that Quarter. An Eligible Participant may only win once in each Category during the period of the Competition.
14. In addition, following the Closing Date all of the Winners will be entered into an additional competition for a chance to win another prize. There will be one (1) additional prize winner selected from all of the Winners chosen by a panel of judges on behalf of the Promoter within two (2) months of the Closing Date (“Main Winner”). The Main Winner will be selected by the judges as the best Entry from all of the Winners’ Entries following the same criteria applied in the selection of the Winners, as set out in clause 11. The additional prize for the Main Winner will be a Worcester Bosch Environment 2050 Trophy and a Bosch power tool bundle (1 x Bosch GKS 18V-57 G Circular Saw 06016A2101, 1 x Bosch GAS 18V-10 L 18V Dust Extraction 06019C6302, 1 x Bosch GLM 50-22 Professional Laser Measure 0601072S00, 1 x Bosch GLI 18V-1200 C 18V Light 0601446700, 1 x Bosch GBA 5.0Ah CoolPack 18V Battery 1600A002U5) (“Bonus Prize”).
15. Neither the Prizes nor the Bonus Prize are transferable and there is no cash alternative. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prizes or the Bonus Prize with product(s) of equal or greater value at any time.
16. The Prizes and the Bonus Prize or any promotional item(s) must not be auctioned or resold. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to accept further entries under this Competition or any other promotion if it becomes aware of the reselling or auctioning of the Prizes or the Bonus Prize or any promotional item(s).
17. The Winners give their consent to be notified by email and to be sent an email from the Promoter within ten (10) days of the Winners (and the Main Winner) being chosen by the judges (“Notification”).
18. The Winners (and the Main Winner) must contact the Promoter within 14 days of the date of the Notification to claim the Prizes and the Bonus Prize and provide the Promoter with their delivery address in the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland (“Winner Confirmation”). If a Winner fails to claim the Prizes or the Bonus Prize, such Winner will forfeit the Prizes (or the Bonus Prize, if applicable) and another valid Entry will be selected by the judges.
19. The Promoter will arrange for the Prizes and the Bonus Prize to be delivered to the Winners’ addresses in the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland at the Promoter’s cost. Please allow up to 28 days from the Winner Confirmation for delivery of the Prizes and the Bonus Prize. General:
20. For every single valid Entry, the Promoter will make a donation of £5 to Rewilding Britain up to an aggregate maximum of £1000.
21. Eligible Participants are free to elect whether to submit an Entry. The Winners shall solely determine their chosen registered charity as the recipient of £200/200 EUR by way of donation from the Promoter. The Promoter shall have no bearing or influence on the selection of the Winners’ chosen charities. There is no requirement for any Eligible Participant or Winner to promote or publicise the Promoter, the Competition or the Prizes.
22. In all matters relating to the Competition, the decision of the Promoter shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into. The decision of the judges shall be final in the selection of the Winners and the Main Winner.
23. At all times throughout the Competition, participants must deal with the Promoter in the utmost good faith in every respect. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all participants and disqualify any participant that it has reasonable grounds to believe has breached any of the Terms, including, but not limited to, falsifying any information submitted to or requested by the Promoter.
24. The Promoter reserves the right to amend or terminate the Competition at any time without notice. However, the Promoter will use its reasonable endeavours to minimise the effect of such amendment or termination to avoid disappointment. Any termination or amendment to the Competition will be communicated in the same way as the Competition was communicated.
25. The Promoter excludes all liability for taxes relating to the Prizes and the Bonus Prize and any tax liability arising from the provision of the Prizes and the Bonus Prize will be the sole responsibility of the recipients of the Prizes and the Bonus Prize.
26. The Promoter does not claim any rights of ownership in your entry, nor does the Promoter accept responsibility for the return of any Entry, including those consisting of artistic or other material.
27. The judges names, the Winners’ names and Main Winner’s name can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to: Bosch Thermotechnology Ltd., Cotswold Way, Warndon, Worcester, WR4 9SW United Kingdom. If a Winner objects to any or all of their surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter by email at: Marketing.Wo@uk.bosch.com. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
28. If a participant does not wish for their details to be entered into the Competition or if they opt out but then wish to re-enter, they can advise the Promoter by writing to its address set out in clause 2, or by email to: Marketing.Wo@uk.bosch.com.
29. The Promoter will process the participants’ personal data on the Promoter’s behalf for the purposes of the Competition and complying with its delivery commitments. The Promoter’s legal basis for processing the personal data is that the processing is carried out for the legitimate business interests in connection with the Competition and, if applicable, supply of the chosen products. The Promoter will not process the participants’ personal data for other purposes unless they have a legal basis for doing so. The Promoter handles the participants’ personal information in a secure and confidential manner and always in accordance with the law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (2016) and applicable UK law. It will not disclose the participants’ personal information to third parties unless there is a legal basis for this. The law provides the participants with rights in relation to their personal information. 30. The Competition will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the Competition
