The art competition is split into two age groups, under 11s and 12-16s. Children must create a drawing, painting collage, cartoon or photograph using the theme of the 'the environment and the home'. Four seasonal winners are chosen, one in the spring, summer autumn and winter and from those seasonal winners an overall annual winner is selected. Twelve year old Sarah Box from West Cross in Swansea is this year's overall champion.
'Sarah is an incredibly talented young lady. She was also a seasonal winner in 2002 so she obviously has an artistic flair. This year her fantastic sculpture, depicted a very important message about how people should recognise the damage people have caused to the environment and that we should all do something to help. Well done Sarah'
