- Forming part of RAF’s Centenary commemorations, speakers at the event included Secretary of State for Defence, Gavin Williamson
- Jon has been a member of the RAF Reserves for over 20 years
Jon Buckle, who is part of our Research and Development team, has been an RAF Reserve for the past 20 years, and was invited to the prestigious event in thanks of his work for the force.
Based at RAF Brize Norton, Jon has been assisting with the loading and unloading of the RAF’s Air Transport fleet for more than two decades and has provided support in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
Jon was joined by Neil Schofield, who has been involved in ensuring the company provides the right support to allow him to carry out both his research and Reserve roles. Acknowledging the backing that has been given to Jon over the past years, we hold the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award in light of our commitment and flexible work ethics. We are now working towards gaining a Gold Award for its forces employee policy.
The Flagship event comprised a tour of the House of Commons and Lords, a visit to the viewing chamber overlooking the Commons to see a live debate, and an inspiring speech from Secretary of State for Defence, Gavin Williamson.
Jon and Neil also had the pleasure of speaking with Gavin Williamson following his speech, as well as Air Chief Marshall Sir Stephen Hillier (Chief of the Air Staff)), Air Vice Marshal Lord Beaverbrook (Commandant General of the RAuxAF) and Worcester MP, Robin Walker.
