Eco-intern Success Story

The group of interns looking at reducing ‘Upstream Packaging’ – eg packaging of materials that enter our plants,  worked with logistics and suppliers to enquire as to the feasibility of removing plastic from deliveries.

This pump connection part was identified as being possible to be delivered without the plastic and following the study is now delivered completely free from plastic bags.

This is an estimated saving of *221 kg/year of plastic bags (the approximate weight of an upright piano!).

This amounts to a saving of 0.655 tonnes CO2e / year.
